The Young Women Congress was attended by 336 girls from all the districts that make up North Buganda Field. The Congress was unique because each Adventist young woman came with a non-Adventist friend and 37 girls accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

The Congress was run under the theme: An Adorable Young Woman of the 21st Century. The Guest speaker was Pr. Ivan Ssebaggala from Uganda Union and 2nd Speaker was Dr. Christina Twinomujuni Mugisa; Young Women Leader of South Western Uganda Field. Pr. Ssebaggala taught the Young Women about personal and holistic growth and exhibited their relevance in their homes, churches, communities, and schools. There were a number of guests that attended and out of those 37 gave their lives to Christ and they were baptized.  The pastor encouraged them to stay firm in their decision and look to Christ as their mentor so that He can make a difference in their lives and so that they can become His ambassadors in evangelizing to other people.

Several speakers addressed the participants on several topics which included; healing from a broken relationship, facing the transitioning stage in life, raising Godly Children, family life issues, effective public speaking, living responsible lives, building resilience amidst challenges, and learning to love oneself.

The function was graced by the NBF President Pastor Simwogerere David who appreciated the different speakers and also commended the participants for putting in practice what they had been taught. Pr. Simwogerere read from Timothy 4:12 where he encouraged the youths to value themselves and also be exemplary in Faith, conduct, charity, and purity. He charged them to regard the scriptures with utmost importance. 2Timothy 3:16.
